This doc is designed to help you get acclimated to how we build and help the community, what tools we use, and what else you can expect from your time at Subspace Network. As you go through your onboarding process, please leave comments on this doc to help improve it! That'll make the process smoother for the next Apprentice Ambassador.
During the 1:1 onboarding session with your mentor you’ll:
We have a few channels for receiving and giving feedback at Air:
Weekly 1:1s - Everyone should have a weekly 1:1 scheduled with the Lead of your group. This is meant to be a resource for you! It's a chance to surface issues you're facing, work through problems together, and voice ideas or concerns about how the Ambassador team is working as a whole.
You should be coming to this meeting with notes! A 1:1 is much more successful when the person attending it comes prepared to drive the discussion. Do not worry, weekly 1:1 is only 15 minutes.
Monthly Touch-base - Community Call with the Team. Once a month, you'll meet with the Program manager and members of the Core Team. This is a chance to share updates both from the Ambassadors and team, and touch on a bit higher level on how you're feeling about community, decision-making, and processes.
Quarterly Reviews - Once a quarter, we'll send out a survey to collect feedback from you on how things are going, and you’ll meet with the Program manager to discuss those results and provide you with feedback. These reviews are meant to explain your role and growth trajectory at Subspace Ambassador Program so that you have a consistent touchpoint to reflect on how you're doing and define where you want to go.
